Why we exist
Search any celebrity’s name with the words “net worth” and you will get a number. Search a second site and you will often get the exact same number. A figure appears somewhere, gets copied, and within a year it is everywhere, repeated as fact long after it stopped being true, if it ever was.
RichPeek started from a simple frustration with that. We wanted to know not just what someone is worth, but how anyone could possibly arrive at the figure. So we stopped repeating numbers and started building them.
What we do
RichPeek publishes independent estimates of the net worth of public figures, musicians, athletes, actors, founders, built from the ground up out of public information. For each person, we reconstruct how the money was actually made and, just as importantly, what was lost along the way to taxes, representation, and the cost of living large.
We think the second half is where most estimates fail. It is easy to add up a star’s tour grosses and call it a fortune. It is harder, and more honest, to account for the manager’s cut, the agent’s percentage, a brutal tax rate in the wrong city, an extravagant lifestyle, and a “record deal” that was really an advance to be paid back. When you do that work, the real picture often looks very different from the recycled headline number.

What makes us different
- We build, we don’t copy. Every estimate is reached independently. When our number differs from the one you have seen elsewhere, we explain exactly why, in the article itself.
- We show the math. Each estimate walks through the steps, so you can follow the reasoning and disagree with it if you like.
- We sweat the details others skip. Tax jurisdiction, touring splits, who actually owns a music catalog, whether a brand was sold or still held. The details are where the truth hides.
- We stay current. A fortune is a moving target. We update figures as tours close, deals are struck, and assets change hands.
The honest disclaimer
We will always be straight with you about this: every figure on RichPeek is an estimate and an editorial opinion, not a verified fact. No outsider knows anyone’s true net worth, and it changes by the day. What we offer is a transparent, good-faith calculation based on what is publicly knowable, with our reasoning shown so you can judge it yourself.
